When the soccer pitch is almost as sacred as Sunday service, you need a setup that can allows for pray and play to come together! That was exactly the case for this recent project we completed at a church in Peakhurst. After prayer time, the local community loved getting together for a friendly game of soccer, and they needed something simple but effective to stop the ball from flying into places it shouldn’t – think windows, gardens, or the occasional parked car.
Custom solutions are always better
Enter: barrier netting. But not just any netting. This church needed a solution that was tough enough to handle regular games, but also temporary. Renovations were planned for the space within the next 12 months, so the net couldn’t be a permanent fixture. That’s where the beauty of a fully custom netting installation really shines.
We took on the whole project from start to finish. That meant designing the layout, choosing the right posts, sorting out positioning, and of course, installing everything. The key here was flexibility. We built a netting system that’s strong, secure, and game-ready – but also removable when the time comes. It’s all about balancing durability with adaptability, especially when you’re working with community spaces that evolve over time.
One of the biggest benefits of going custom with your netting installation is that it actually works with your space – not against it. Whether you’re dealing with unusual layouts, specific height requirements, or future changes like this one, we can design a solution that fits neatly and cleanly, without compromising on strength or safety. Off-the-shelf netting kits often fall short when it comes to odd angles or multi-use areas. That’s where custom work makes all the difference.
We also made sure the posts and fixings could be easily removed and reinstalled down the track. So when those renovations kick off, the church won’t be left cutting things down or starting from scratch. The whole setup is designed with the current and future needs of the client in mind, and that’s something we bring to all of our projects both big and small.
In conclusion
The job ran smoothly (as it usually does with us!) and the community now has a dedicated space to safely enjoy their post-prayer sport without worrying about damaging property or losing their ball. We love being part of solutions that bring people together, especially when it involves sport, teamwork, and a bit of fun.
