High Impact Golf Netting Installation in Ballina – Safe Swings, Happy Players

We recently headed up to Ballina for a great project that combined two of our favourite things: a solid challenge and a golf course. The task? Installing a golf barrier netting system to keep the driving range and surrounding areas safe for everyone enjoying the range.

Now, golf might seem like a slow-paced sport from the outside – but anyone who’s stood behind a seasoned driver knows how much power is in a full swing. Those balls fly! And when there’s a driving range near shared areas, the risk of stray shots becomes a very real concern. That’s where high impact golf netting comes into play. It’s such a worthwhile investment for any golf facility, big or small.

This Ballina job involved the installation of serious netting. We started by drilling in massive 15-metre timber posts—these aren’t your average backyard stakes. Around 12 metres of each post sat above ground, giving us the height we needed to safely contain the flight of even the most enthusiastic long-range hitters.

What makes high impact netting the right choice for golf netting?

Once the framework was in, we installed high impact golf netting designed specifically for this kind of use. This isn’t the light stuff you see at the local park – it’s built to take a beating. Whether it’s repeated hits from high-speed balls or constant exposure to the elements, this netting is made to last. It’s UV stabilised, weather-resistant, and, most importantly, tough as nails.

The beauty of high impact netting is that it protects everyone – players, staff, spectators, and even nearby buildings or vehicles – without compromising the look or openness of the space. It’s nearly invisible from a distance, so it doesn’t ruin the views or make things feel boxed in. Instead, it just does its job quietly in the background, letting golfers swing away with confidence and peace of mind.

We know that no two golf facilities are the same, and that’s why a custom netting setup like this is so important. The layout, the angles, the ball trajectories – they all play a role in how we design and install a netting system that actually works. And because we handle everything from planning to post-install checks, we make sure it’s done right the first time.

In conclusion

This install went smoothly, and now the Ballina course has a reliable, long-lasting safety system in place that keeps everyone on and off the course protected.

If you’re running a golf facility – or you’re lucky enough to have your own space to practice your swing – and you want to make sure safety is sorted without sacrificing aesthetics, high impact netting is the way to go.
